The TML Annual Conference and Exhibition Is Happening
Holding the TML Annual Conference and Exhibition in Houston after Hurricane Harvey is a way for us to show support and solidarity with our city officials and staff in all of our storm-impacted communities. We’re continuing this spirit of service at our October 3-6 conference by partnering with the Houston Food Bank on a community project that will benefit 600 relief organizations and people in 18 southeast Texas counties whose lives were upended by Harvey.
We invite you to support the TML community service project in one of three ways:
- Bring one (or more) canned food items to the conference, and place them in our food drive bin near TML registration on Level 3 of the George R. Brown Convention Center.
- Participate in our service project on Wednesday, October 4, from 12:00-5:00 p.m. at the Houston Food Bank’s warehouse where TML volunteers will inspect, sort, and repackage items for distribution. Learn more and sign up at the City of Houston table near TML registration on Tuesday from 1:00-5:00 p.m. or Wednesday from 7:30-10:30 am.
- Make a personal financial donation (of any amount) designated for disaster relief. Learn more about the Houston Food Bank and how your contribution will be used here.
Cities throughout Texas rallied to provide equipment, resources, and manpower to the devastated areas following the storm. And the outpouring of support continues. We couldn’t be prouder of our TML community!
